Cycling on Jersey

For a small island, Jersey has a very active cycling scene. There is not one, but two road cycling clubs: Velo Sport Jersey (VSJ or just "Velo") and the Caesarean Cycling Club (CCC or just "the C's").

Between them they organise 3 races per week during the summer, and stage races over the bank holiday weekends. In addition, CCC also organise the Mountain Bike series in the winter and summer.

The town criterium was held last year, and before that in 1997 as part of the Island Games that were being held in Jersey that year.

Much of the Island has functional cycling tracks along coastal areas including the south and west coasts in particular. There are cliff trails on the north coast and some parts of the south west.

Jersey has a purpose built 1 mile tarmac racing track at Les Quennevais sports complex upon which both Velo and the C's organise track races throughout the season from March through to September.
