The road closure for 2010 is expected to be the same as that for 2009 (to be confirmed):

 

The Minister for Transport and Technical Service, in pursuance of Article 2 of the Entertainments on Public Roads (Jersey) Law 1985, on the application of Velo Sport Jersey Cycling Club in accordance with the requirements of Article 8(2) of the Town Criterium (Jersey) Order 2009, and after consolation with the Constable of St Helier, that in connection with the Events certain roads will be closed or restricted in their use as set out below.

On Sunday 30th May the Town Cycle Race well take place around a number of roads in the town centre.

No Parking Areas from 8 am until 6 pm
The Parade from Union Street to Cannon Street
Burrard Street
Halkett Place from Burrard Street to Hill Street
Mulcaster Street
Weighbridge Place
Out Side the Pomme D’Or Hotel
Conway Street
Charing Cross
York Street

Road Closed from 10am until 6pm
The Parade that lies to the east of the Parade Gardens and runs from a junction with Union Street to a junction with Cannon Street;

Roads Closed from 11am until 6pm
Burrard Street from its junction with Union Street and New Street to its junction with Halkett Place
Halkett Place from Burrard Street to Hill Street
Hill Street from its junction with Halkett Place to its junction with Mulcaster Street and Church Street;
Mulcaster Street
The Esplanade from its junction with Weighbridge Place to its junction with Conway Street;
Conway Street from Esplanade to Broad Street
Broad Street
Charing Cross
York Street up to Union Street
The Parade from its junction with York Street to its junction with Gloucester Street;
Weighbridge Place

The following variations to normal traffic apply on Sunday, 24th May 2009 between 11.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. –
Any vehicle may be driven in either direction on the following roads or parts of roads –
(a) Commercial Street;
(b) Devonshire Place from its junction with Lempriere Street to its junction with Great Union Road;
(c) Le Geyt Street;
(d) Lempriere Street;
(e) New Street from its junction with Library Place to its junction with Duhamel Street;
(f) Seale Street.
• in Cattle Street, a vehicle may be driven only northwards; and
• in Duhamel Place, between Don Street and Grove Street, a vehicle may be driven only northwards.

Buses
Buses inward from the east via the tunnel, outward we will still use Grenville St and La Motte St (but not Snow Hill)
The route 5 will not be able to pick up at the post office; Broad Stand will on leaving the bus station go via Grand Hotel, Cheapside and pick up its normal route from Rouge Bouillion.
Buses well still be departing from Liberation Station, but the East buses come into town from 11am until 6 pm using a temporary bus stop on La Route du Fort.

Taxis
The Taxis at Weighbridge Place and Library Place is going to be out of use from 11am until 6pm, then at 11am the Taxi Rank well be on the Esplanade until 6pm. Snow Hill remain Taxi Ranks through out the day.
